Supreme Style

One of the biggest names out there for street wear right now is Supreme. Obey can take a step back, as more and more I'm seeing Supreme everywhere. This brand is associated with skateboarding, hip hop, and even punk rock. Nowadays Supreme seems to be taking over as the most iconic brand in streetwear. Their campaigns and they way they are able to advertise their collection, as a part of a lifestyle, makes it essential for many different fashion styles. I think their brand is supposed to express that anyone can wear Supreme and make it their own style, not just skaters or hipsters.

Celebrities who have been seen wearing Supreme include

Kate Moss

Lady Gaga

Drake

and Tyler the Creator.

Personally I'm surprised Supreme isn't being worn by more celebrities, especially those that are younger.

But lately, even GQ is taking notice, as you can see above Tyler the Creator is photographed wearing Supreme. The angle GQ took with this article was: "What do Tyler the Creator and GQ's Style Guy Glenn O'Brien have in common? A love for Supreme clothing." The point of the article was basically to illustrate the versality of the Supreme brand. Tyler wears it in a way that reflects hip hop, and has a more "street fashion" feel to it. However O'Brien is able to wear it and not look too ridiculous. O'Brien wears Supreme in a way that's respectable for his age, and it doesn't come off as a mid-life crisis plea to 'fit in,' (as it usually does when older people try to wear street fashion brands).

The article is available here, and there's an entertaining interview in which Tyler and O'Brien both talk about how they came across the Supreme brand.

I'm all for it, and to be quite honest, I'm a huuge sweater homebody type of person (I mean, when I'm not decked out in my glitter heels like I wrote in my previous post..), SO I'm thinking about investing in one of their infamous hoodies. That said, it seems like polka dots are in for their newest collection, and shopping on their website is pretty difficult right now because almost everything is sold out! Ridiculous. At least one of the actual stores isn't too far away (they have one in Los Angeles on Fairfax).

So the main two things I have my eye on is one of these hoodies (I'd want one in black)

And the shoes on the left. These are just way too cute to pass up. A black hoodie, black leather leggings plus these shoes? Just add in a couple of gold accessories to it and I'm set.

What would you sport from Supreme?

Kiss me, I'm Irish!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. If you live anywhere near me, in Southern California, you may have noticed that on this beautiful and traditional holiday we Americans celebrate (by drinking excessively and wearing green), it has been pouring non-stop since this morning. Again, if you're like me, your first thought is probably, "So that pretty much ruins my outfit plans for the night." But worry not, as someone who plans their outfit before leaving the house just to get stamps, I've figured out a solution to still look cute tonight--in the rain--and by wearing green still.

Again, this holiday can be kind of disruptive in a normal fashion blogger's everyday life. Green is really not an essential color to my wardrobe, if you know what I mean. I pretty much have one forest green sweater, a deep emerald green Obey tank top, and one killer emerald green dress with black zebra print. So obviously I opted for the dress and glittery heels (yes, it's THAT kind of night). But now that I've realized it's raining, as fabulous as my dress is, I'm pretty sure a soaked dress and hairstyle doesn't really make a great outfit..

So I'm re-evaluating. I realize I can still wear my heels (rain or shine, my feet will be lookin' fine), but I either am going to have to go heavy duty and wear my peacoat over, or change to a jacket-dress combination. The only problem with bringing a jacket is having to carry it around everywhere when you're out bar hopping--I know, first world problems. In any case this is my solution: multiple outifts.

My outfit tonight will pretty much stay the same, I just have two additional options in case of the weather. Now, if it were a normal summer-like spring night, my "party outfit" would consist of of just this Obey green tank top, a black mini from H&M, a gold bracelet and gold ring both from H&M, and my glitter stilettos.

But since we live in bipolar-weather-land in SoCal, depending on how hard it'll be raining I'll change my outfit. If it is actually raining, it's going to be freeezing, and I'm not down for my legs to be soaked BARE. So I would simply put on a faux fur jacket from H&M, switch from a black skirt to black leggings from H&M (Trend), and bring a stylish umbrella.

However, if it's NOT raining, and it's just nasty outside and relatively cold, I'll keep my outfit the same as the original, but instead I will just throw a peacoat on.

As you can see, nothing is getting in the way of me wearing my brand new glitter shoes tonight. With that said, hope you've planned multiple outfits fitting to however you decide to celebrate this holiday--and everyone be safe and careful tonight!
